RTSC Gala Reports
Sunday 7th June - Eastbourne Masters
RTSC Masters took a relatively small team of 9 swimmers to this event, Babara Boxall (age group F), Helen Gray (D), Lara Fenner (C), Janos Leigh (L), Stan Clarke (K), Tom Enright (F), Martin Fenner (E), Martin Lane (C) and Gary Wraight (B). Gary swam despite having a serious foot injury due to his celebrations of Lampard’s second goal at Wembley in the FA Cup Final . . . so only limited sympathy given.
Despite being small in number, the team entered a total of 40 individual events and 2 relay events. The 40 individual events saw a return of 29 Gold, 10 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. So the lowest placing in the 40 events competed in was a bronze medal. In the two relay events both returned gold medals. Special mention to Martin Fenner who won 6 individual and 2 team gold medals.
