Saturday 9th May - Essex Masters Championships - Blackshots Pool

Romford Town Swimming Club successfully defended the Essex County Masters title for the 20th consecutive year at Blackshots Pool in Thurrock.

Every swimmer played their part on the day and although the individual events are too numerous to list, Alyson Fordham won the overall ladies individual title, Tom Enright won the overall mens individual title and Suzannah Martin won the trophy for the fastest 50m freestyle for the 18-24 year ladies age group.

The ladies won the Ladies Team Trophy, the men won the Mens Team Trophy and of course the team won the Overall Team Trophy. Of the 18 relay events swum, RTSC contested 16 and of those 16 won 14!
