Periodically, Time Trials will take place on a Sunday in order to assist coaches in picking teams and to prepare and give some experience of competing to our younger swimmers.

** During school holidays and certain bank holidays, times and sessions may vary and you will be notified accordingly by your coach and on our website.

Aim:
The aim of D squad is to continue with your child’s development, building on the skills learnt in the Swim School and obtaining the skills required to take part in competitive swimming.

In addition to developing stroke techniques, building fitness is an integral part of training and is essential in order to be able to compete.

For the benefit of your child’s progress swimmers are therefore encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible, with three sessions per week being a minimum in D squad.

Equipment:
Swimmers are required to have a small kickboard (float) and fins (flippers). These can be purchased at the club shop on a Sunday evening. A small drinks bottle, filled with water is also recommended.

'I hope you enjoy your time in my squad and I look forward to working with you'
