Praise for RTSC from London Swimming
"Prior to their re-accreditation, Romford Town were only accredited at skill development level, however, they soon changed that with the organisation skills of swim21 coordinator Les Copeland adding teaching, competitive development and masters to their repertoire! The club were praised by the Regional Panel for their coach's annual plans and the level of information provided to their parents. The club states: ‘The club has been proud holders of this award for Skill Development alone for the last 4 years but this recent achievement of re-accreditation and elevated status is testament to the continued hard work of the coaching staff and the outstanding success of the swimmers in the pool'. For further information on the club please see their website at www.romfordtownsc.com"

Saturday 5th December - Essex League Division 1 - Rochford
With more than 50 swimmers away competing at open meets in either Guildford or Corby it was touch and go whether Town would even be able to muster a team for this season's first Division One gala, it was our magnificent masters section that came to our rescue and added some fantastic entertainment into the bargain.
Over half of the team were gaining their first experience of a very tough Essex League competition and all did themselves proud on a night when our two main rivals in the competion were unable to field teams. Our equal 3rd place finish thus ensured that we still have a chance of retaining the league title for the 7th season running.

RTSC Achieves swim21 Accreditation in Teaching, Skill Development, Competitive Development and Masters
For the last 4 years we have held this award for Skill Development only. Until 2013 we will also be accredited with the Teaching, Competitive Development and Masters titles. Only one other club in London is as highly classified and only five have Competitive Development status
Achieving our re-accreditation and elevated status has been due to the continued hard work of the coaching staff and the outstanding success of our swimmers in the pool. Special thanks should go to Les Copeland for his work in co-ordinating the paperwork, liasing with London Swimming and generally keeping us all on our toes.
