Swimming Times

Swimming Times is the official monthly magazine of the Amateur Swimming Association and the Institute of Swimming. A yearly subscription normally costs £22, but if you would like to order it through the club you will get it at the reduced club subscription rate of £17.50. Brentwood Summer Sprint Gala added to Calendar

Brentwood's Summer Sprint Gala is being held at Southbury Leisure Centre on Saturday June 28th. This is a great opportunity to get some of next year's Essex Qualifying times under your belt - before this season ends! This will also be an ideal swim meet for C and D squad swimmers to gain some valuable gala experience. Entry forms will be distributed shortly. (Brentwood Summer Sprint Gala)

Well Done, Madeline!!

Madeline Raymond, one of Romford Town’s lane coaches, ran her first (and not her last!) London Marathon on Sunday. Madeline completed the course in 4 hours and 14 minutes - well ahead of her target time. Madeline ran to raise money for “CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA”

Your pledges can now be paid direct to Madeline or to Chris Toolis (Club Shop) or Denise Tubbs (Sweet Shop). If you haven't already done so, there is still time to support this wonderful effort. This can be for any amount you like - this charity needs as much help as it can get.

Sunday 13th April - Starts and Turns Clinic – Central Park Pool

A "Starts and Turns Clinic" is being held at Central Park Pool on Sunday 13th April. Swimmers are invited to attend their normal Sunday squad sessions at their usual time. Each swimmer will have the opportunity to make real improvements to their starting and turning techniques under specialist coaching from who are coming down to us from Leicester. We are delighted to announce that this clinic is being funded by proceeds from Denise Tubbs’ Sweetie Shop and is therefore being provided free of charge to swimmers. Please do not miss out on this exceptional opportunity.
